A porta-toilet is available at the lake from opening day through late summer. The toilet will be used by men, women, and children, therefore, we ask everyone who uses the toilet to do so with courtesy towards their fellow members.

                            Rules & Regulations


  • You must posses a PA fishing license and an ESC fishing permit to fish the Dam, fishing permit must be visible at all times. You can be asked to show your fishing permit at any time by any member of The ESC. The asking person can ask you to leave if you cannot produce your current fish permit. The ESC is the issuing authority for Fish Permits.
  • Junior Permits are for those Members who are 16 & 17 years old only, they must obtain a Junior Membership in order to have a Junior Fish Permit. 
  • Tents are permitted, however, they can only be used for the day while you are fishing. They may not be left unattended (you must be at the Dam) and they cannot be in the same place for more than 3 days. Any tents that are unattended or in the same spot for more than the 3 days specified, will be taken down and put in the trash. 
  • No more than 2 rods per person.
  • FIRES: Fires are permitted, HOWEVER, NO fires on the breast of the dam or on the slate dump side. NO open fires, they must be in a pit. Keep the fires clean (no burning anything but wood, this includes metal, plastic, glass), if this is not adhered to, then fires will no longer be permitted anywhere at the lake. DO NOT KICK LOGS INTO LAKE!
  • Any vandalism or destruction of property will result in revocation of Membership and Fish Permit and will be prosecuted.
  • There is to be NO cleaning of fish at the dam.
  • *MANDATORY: No fishing from time of stocking until daylight the following day, unless otherwise posted.
  • Absolutely no littering. There are trash cans located all around the Dam for you to put your trash in. NO destruction of any ESC or Cokeburg Dam property!!! Do Not leave string on the ground, please make sure it is thrown away.
  • No treble hooks with bait.
  • No ice fishing, walking, or any other ice related activity is permitted
  • NO motorized vehicles, of any kind, are to be used on or at the lake except for the parking lot. NO ATV's. This is also an ordinance of Cokeburg Borough. There is a $500 fine imposed for non-accordance.
  • Dogs are welcome at the dam, however, please keep your animal on a leash at all times and must be licensed. This is the Law. It is absolutely necessary to clean up after your dog
  • Children 15 & under must be accompanied by an adult with fishing permit to be at the lake. (Junior fishing permits are for those 16 & 17 years-old). This includes any events held at the Dam
  • Below are the Limits at the Dam. Limits are PER PERMIT (NOT per person)... Penalties are given when limit rules are broken. Permits can be revoked and a fine imposed. If it is not listed, do not take it with you!
